| Specification | What it does | Boundary | State |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your files | Encrypts the files you choose, in place, in the folders you already use. | Only the files you choose. No upload, no move. | In development |
| Encrypted Notes | Rich text, checklists, colours, pins, archive and search, in the same vault as your files. | Backed up to your vault, still encrypted, when a cloud is connected. | In development |
| Local vaults | Keeps encrypted files and notes on the device itself. | No cloud account needed. | In development |
| Cloud vaults | Optional: a vault in your own personal Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox. More storage providers are coming soon. | The app works in its own folder; nothing else in your account is read or touched. | In development |
| Unlock | Your passphrase, or the device's secure unlock: Windows Hello or Android biometrics. | No reset of any kind. | In development |
Unlike Vault
Lock the data, not just the door. The Windows and Android apps encrypt the files you choose in place and keep Encrypted Notes under the same lock, so a locked file is still ciphertext if a device, a password or a backup is compromised. Cloud storage is optional: your own personal Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox.
